CASH RESERVES

Cash reserves are normally deployed in money market funds for maximum liquidity. This portion of the portfolio is also used as a reserve to hedge against potential declines in either the bond or stock markets. From time-to-time, however, direct investments in prime quality short-term investments may be advantageous.
